In this 96 page hardbound graphic novel, a local author and artist bring to life the story of the Museum's favorite long term resident - George the Burmese python.

During the Vietnam War, a US Army Special Forces unit rescued George and brought him back to the United States.  George lived here at the Museum for over 30 years, and was beloved by many visitors.

An Unlikely Refugee combines fact and fantasy to chronicle George's extraordinary life from birth until death, relating the complete story from the snake's perspective.
